For an emergency please call 911. This is answered by our dispatch center who will dispatch the appropriate response. For all other non-emergencies, please call 815-728-0088.
An advanced life support fire engine may also respond in order to provide more manpower to assist the ambulance crew. This also allows for a quicker response, should another call come out.

Yes. We currently staff the East side station from 6 AM to 6 PM and West side station from 6PM to 6 AM with three personal and a Shift Commander. All employees are part-time.
The Wonder Lake Fire Protection District transports to Northwestern Hospital McHenry, Northwestern Hospital Woodstock or Northwestern Hospital Huntley under special circumstances. In the event of a serious trauma, we have the capability of transporting via helicopter to a Level 1 Trauma Center. Also, for cardiac related incidents, we are required by hospital protocol to transport to McHenry. This is due to having a Cath Lab available.
