In a generous gesture, Paul decided to donate the helmet to the Wonder Lake Fire Protection District, stating that its home is at the firehouse. His selfless act showcases the community spirit that defines Wonder Lake, reinforcing the bond between residents and the brave men and women who serve in our fire department. Thank you, Paul, for your incredible generosity!

Fall-O-Ween Festivities

The Fall-O-Ween event was a resounding success, featuring a variety of activities that entertained both young and old. From kids’ games and a haunted house to live music performances by local bands, a car show, vendors and something for everyone. The event also had food vendors, including Pixie Dawgs, East End Pizza & Ice Cream, Fast Taco and others, who served delicious treats that delighted attendees.

A standout feature of the event was the special salute tribute that included bagpipes by Northern Illinois Pipes & Drums, and a flyover by a helicopter from LifeNet , honoring our first responders. This heartfelt tribute showed the importance of community, appreciation, and recognition for those who serve.
